On Thursday, Fine Arts Club members went on a field trip to the Art Institute. It was a lot of fun and the students learned a lot. We started with a docent-led tour through some of the galleries. Then, we had some open studio time for an hour to explore the different materials and tools. The students were able to try out water color painting, sculpture, pastels, charcoal and markers. They were also able to draw on the windows. They had a lot of fun with that!
Earlier this month, the Fine Arts Club members were given many different pictures to choose from that had been cut out of magazines. After choosing a picture, the artists extended and completed the picture using pencil. They look great hanging in the stairway!
